Hi! My name is Hannah Buzza and I am a sophomore journalism student at Point Park University. I am heavily involved in U-View Television where I host and produce one show and report on two others! I also occasionally write for Point Park’s newspaper, The Globe, and have been published a handful of times.
Through this project, I hope to learn and share the stories of refugees trying to get acclimated into a brand-new society. Through Hello Neighbor’s mentorship program, these refugees are given support through families willing to help them transition. On top of my own project, I also served as the video coordinator for this project.
In the future, I hope to be a national journalist who is skilled in any facet of my career. I would really like to be a news anchor on a network news program such as ABC World News Tonight or Good Morning America. I would also be interested in doing something with sports reporting! While my end goals are on camera, I want to be able to confidently work on any form of journalism I may face.
I value my education, and I always work hard to make sure I am learning. Outside of school, I work two jobs, play tennis in the summers and ski in the winters for fun, have a cat, and spend a lot of time with my friends! I love going out and doing new things with the people I care about. This year I will be doing lots of traveling and going to concerts which I am really looking forward to!
I hope you enjoy my work and learn something new about Hello Neighbor and refugees alike!
