Kylie Thomas

Kylie Thomas (she/they) is a media content creator currently attending Point Park University as a senior with a multimedia major and photography minor. She works as the co-Features and Arts and Entertainment Editor for the award-winning university newspaper, The Globe, and as a web design intern with the John N. Gardner Institute for Undergraduate Education. They have also held a previous position with Pittsburgh City Paper as a music intern and marketing director for George Lange Photography. On her own time, she runs her photography business, Photos By Ky that specializes in portrait and concert photography. She wants to give her clients the opportunity to create unique memories through a diverse photographic lens. She strives to leave a mark on the freelance photography field that diversity is integral. Overall, her passions lie within the music industry and her content focuses on music features, reviews, and photography. 

Kylie works as the lead web designer and photographer for The Refugee Report with a special focus in the area of personal refugee stories. She plans to progress her media work through pursuing her writing, photography business, web design, and social media marketing after graduation. During their time in college, they have received the achievement of the Presidential Scholarship and made the Dean’s list for seven semesters. 

When not creating content, Kylie can be found reading thriller and horror novels, attending concerts, cuddling with their three cats, and getting tattoos whenever possible.
