As a junior multimedia major, this project and my individual role has challenged me in an exciting way. As the editor in chief of the Refugee Project. I have been able to gain an understanding of how to oversee a large project at whole. It has been a great experience to have a large role in the vision and process of creating this project. It is a project I am proud of and will carry with me during the transition from a student to a real-world media professional.
My goal directly after college is to gain as much experience as possible in different media professions. Specific areas I hope to gain experience in through internships and entry-level jobs are photography, graphic design, writing and editing. My ultimate career goal is to be an editor or creative director of a magazine or similar outlet. I enjoy overseeing all the works that go into a big project, and what I enjoy most is providing the vision.
I am from Philadelphia, PA and have really enjoyed my first 3 years in Pittsburgh. I aspire to travel after graduation and have no set expectations or ideas as to where I will travel or live. I enjoy brand new experiences, especially meeting new people and exploring new cities. I have many passions in life and love to spend time with my friends and explore every corner or Pittsburgh with them. Overall, my biggest passion is life pursuing a career that I’ve been building here at Point Park.
